Service content: This service can be used through a dedicated section on the Amazon app, which can deliver groceries and daily necessities within 10 minutes. Orders over 199 rupees (approximately 2.31 US dollars) are free of shipping.
Background: This service was launched on the basis of a pilot project launched in December 2024, reflecting Amazon's emphasis on the growing demand for instant delivery in the Indian market. The scale of online shopping in India has been increasing year by year, and consumers' demand for fast delivery is also growing. LocalCircles' survey shows that 73% of Indian online grocery consumers prioritize delivery time.
Market competition situation: The fast commerce market in India is developing rapidly. From fiscal year 2022 to 2024, the total amount of commodity transactions has surged from $500 million to $3.3 billion, with an annual growth rate of over 70%. The market is currently dominated by Blinkit and Swiggy, with Blinkit holding a market share of 41% and Swiggy holding a market share of 23%.
